Detaining children is a grave violation of their rights.  And yet, it is increasingly becoming the norm at Europe’s borders. In Greece, children – including unaccompanied minors – are routinely held in detention. With the EU’s planned reform of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), the normalisation of child detention across Europe is one step closer.

We invite you to our webinar on 24 September 2025 where we will explore both the legal and political dimensions of this alarming development, as well as the human impact we witness daily in our work on the ground.
