Management Board

Our transnational Management Board is responsible for ensuring that Equal Rights Beyond Borders lives up to its mission and works in line with its principles. The Steering Committee manages the strategic and operational processes to best support our lawyers, advocates and interpreters in their daily work with our clients.

Robert Nestler

Director & Member of Management Board

Robert is the Director of Equal Rights Beyond Borders. He co-founded Equal Rights Beyond Borders in 2016 and has worked with us ever since.

Niki Georgiou

Director Greece & Member of Management Board

Niki is a Law School graduate from the National and Capodistrian University of Athens, and she holds an LLM in Human Rights from the University of Strasbourg. Niki joined Equal Rights Beyond Borders in 2017 on Chios, co-founded the Athens office, and is heading our Greek offices since 2020.

Giorgos Maniatis

Administrative Coordinator & Member of the Management Board

Giorgos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology from Panteion University Athens. He has been active in the field of asylum and migration for several years and joined Equal Rights Beyond Borders in 2020.

Maria Eleni Kosmopoulou

Attorney at Law & Member of the Management Board

Marilena is a graduate of the Law School of Athens, where she earned an LLM in International and European Studies with a specialization in Public International Law, as well as an LLM in Public Law and Public Policies, specializing in Social Protection Law. As a registered lawyer with the Athens Bar Association, she has gained valuable experience working in law offices that focus on international human rights law and administrative law. Additionally, she completed a one-year traineeship at the European Ombudsman, where she was mentored by the Principal Adviser on Charter Compliance. Marilena joined Equal Rights Beyond Borders in June 2024.
